Volunteer with Us
We love to get our hands dirty. Being outside in the sunshine, getting a workout with friends and neighbors is our idea of fun. We hope you feel the same way. If you do, please come help us take care of the park we all love! We regularly maintain sites around the park by weeding, watering, planting trees. We have trash cleanup for overlooked areas, plus trail restoration projects and other park repairs that could use your help.
Attend a Meeting
We need your input! Our board meetings are open to the public. We have them over Zoom on the first Wednesday of every month at 6pm. Not only is it a great way to stay up-to-date with Elysian Park goings-on but we get to hear your ideas for things you want to see in the park. Or we can help address issues of concern.
Let’s Get Social
We are all obout our neighbors! And meeting new people. We think stewarding a park includes building community. We host social events like our monthly Draw Day with Bring Your Own Pen of Echo Park where we spend a leisurely morning soaking up the sunshine and chatting with new friends while observing nature. We’re talking about hosting recurring casual picnic meetups where people can get together over lunch outside in the park and discuss native plants or other Elysian and neighborhood issues. Both events promise to take you to areas of the park you may have never explored.
