A native Californian, Philip has lived near Elysian Park with his family for more than 20 years. As a skilled gardener and teacher, Philip doesn’t mind getting down in the dirt to do what’s necessary to improve the park. Philip has forged strong relationships with city organizations to complete major projects, including the soccer field at Solano Canyon and the disc golf course at Chávez Ridge. He has also been pivotal in the restoration and ongoing maintenance of the Marian Harlow Grove.
